This picture was taken yesterday in front of my house. When I snapped the picture, I didn't notice the deer standing a block away...can you spy him?
Amid all the hustle and bustle of this happy season, I am reminded not to get too carried away by this quote (or is it a poem?) by Edna St. Vincent Millay...
"And all the loveliest things there be Come simply, or so it seems to me."
Isn't that the truth? You can plan, you can prepare, you can shop...but the things that you always remember and never forget are the simple things, like someone sticking those silly reindeer antlers on their head, or the grandchild that liked the wrapping paper and bows better than what came inside the box, or that it snowed on Christmas Eve. The things that memories are made of do usually come simply...and are simply priceless. DLB
